Keep your flowers looking fresh!

Cut stems straight or slant using flower cutters or a sharp knife. Cut stems under water that is fresh, clean and warm (100 °F to 110 °F). Garden flowers and tropical flowers should be cut in tepid water (80 °F to 100 °F)

Transfer cut flowers to a container filled with water at the appropriate temperature. Remove any foliage that is below the water line.

If you are using preservatives to prolong the life of your flowers, follow package directions. Add water to the container as needed and replenish the solution every 1 to 2 days.

If you are not using preservatives change the water, thoroughly clean the container and re-cut the stems daily. If the flowers are arranged in floral foam just add water daily. The foam itself is a preservative.

Place arranged flowers in a cool place especially at nighttime. Keep them away from heat drafts and air conditioners.
